The two victims, a 14-year-old and 12-year-old girl, were walking to school on a walking path in the area of Seneca Ridge Drive and Augusta Drive around 7:30AM. They were approached by an unknown male who grabbed them and attempted to sexual assault them. The two girls were able to free themselves and a male teenager, who witnessed the incident, chased the suspect from the area.
The witness then escorted the two girls to Seneca Ridge Middle School where they reported the incident to school personnel.
An investigation led to the identification of the suspect, identified as a 16-year-old male from Sterling, Va. The name of the suspect cannot be released due to the fact that he is a juvenile.
The suspect was charged Monday by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Detectives with two counts of abduction with intent to defile and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. He is currently being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
