On Thursday, November 8, 2012, Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Plowman requested the Circuit Court to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate a complaint made by a former legislative aide to Loudoun County Supervisor Eugene Delgaudio. The request was based on additional material provided to the Commonwealth’s Attorney by the County Attorney that had not previously been reviewed. The Court appointed Theophani Stamos, the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Arlington County, who has agreed to undertake the assignment. Copies of Plowman’s motion and the Court’s order are attached. Due to the recent developments, Loudoun County Attorney Jack Roberts has suspended the administrative review of related issues.
