Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program

The Loudoun County Department of Family Services administers the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

The purpose of the CDBG program is to help develop viable communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. Organizations within the community are given the opportunity to compete for these funds through an organized application process. The funds must be used based on very specific guidelines outlined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
