How to Sign Up to Speak to the Board of Supervisors
The Board of Supervisors provides time for the public to speak at its regularly scheduled public input meetings, the second business meeting of the month and public hearings. People are encouraged to call in advance to sign up to speak at the meetings by calling the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors at 703-777-0200. Advanced sign-ups will be taken until 12:00 noon the day of the meeting.
Citizens will also have the option to sign-up in person at the meetings, with the exception of the public input held during the first business meeting of the month. Speakers must sign up in advance of that meeting, with sign-ups closing at noon on the day prior to the meeting. The public input time during the first business meeting is limited to: 30 minutes total; 2 minutes per speaker; and a maximum of 15 speakers.
